: : Hi everyone... im 17 wks prego i went for my 3rd doctors visit last week and i found out i actually los 4 ponds sinc my last vist a month ago. This really worries me. I thogh i was eating healthy. What are some fods and drinks that you all eat or try to eat evryday?

:
: Hi Nicole
: when I was pregnant with my son almost 5 years ago, for lunch I tried to eat a regular salad, maybe with some strips of grilled chicken on top.... and then for desserts after dinner, I'd have a bowl of mixed cut up fruit :)

: I had a healthy 9 and a half pound boy and I was a bit over the average 35 pound weight gain ;-) I did eat some junk food, but I tried to counteract that by taking my prenatal vitamins and eating the veggies and fruit above.

: It is important to eat healthy as long as you don't continue to lose weight you should be fine. Protien and healthy carbs are important so try to eat lots of fruit and veggies and lean meats like chicken, lean beef. If you are not big on the meats eggs, nuts and peanut butter are good too. Make sure you get lots of calcium through milk, cheeses (make sure they are pasturized) yogurts, ect. A good day would be :

Br- 2 eggs, 1 slice whole wheat toast, 1 cup milk, and piece of fruit or 1/2 cup juice

SN- bran muffin, 1 cup milk

Lunch- tossed salad with 3 oz of cooked diced chicken, 1/2 cup juice, small whole wheat or grain roll

SN- 3/4 cup of plain yogurt with 1/2 cup of fresh fruit

Dinner- 3oz. lean meat, 1 cup fresh or frozen veggies, 1/2 cup rice, 1 cup milk

SN- 6 crackers with 2 slices of cheese

Plus drink at least 8 glasses of water.
this would give you all your recomended servings you can increase your fruit and veggies or grains if you like or if it is not enough food. This would give you aproximately 2000-2100 calories per day. Given that you use margarine or butter on your toast, bun, ect. Hope this helps.
