I can't thank you all enough for all of the wonderful, encouraging, and informative responses you gave me regarding my finding out I was pregnant and w/o insurance in the same day!
I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner, but it seems as though my morning sickness doesn't understand the calendar or clocks... because it's already started and it's here 24/7. I just couldn't drag myself to the computer yesterday.
As for our insurance situation: my husband is trying to get group insurance through his current job, since the parent company went out of business it's really just become a two man show and he informed his "partner" that if we can't get insured he must find another job (easier said then done I know), on the up side there is a possibility of another job (and with it full benifits) so we're praying and crossing our fingers. I will also be looking into all of the great options you ladies told me about, I did already fill out the online application for the MICHILD and was turned down because my husband makes to much money (but I'm hopeful that if we actually speak to someone they would reconsider this... he makes $50,000 a year before taxes... but we also are about $35,000 in credit card debt, have our car payment, and a mortgage on our first home which we just bought in Feb.... so to say we're already stretched thin would be an understatement. I can't deny that I'm still scared, but I will trust in god and keep faith that everything will work out. On the up side my father in law is a doctor (kidney specialist) but I would think he could at least get me my initial testing and bloodwork done and prescribe prenatal vitamins etc (I also saw they are for sale at Costco at a good price).
So again, thank you all so very much for your support and ideas... it means the world to me to know there are so many caring other women out there who have been in my shoes!
