At 7 weeks pregnant, I had an ultrasound and the Dr. found nothing in the uterus, however my HCG levels climbed from 4200 to 7800 to 11,000. His diagnosis is ectopic pregnancy and I was given a shot of methotrexate to dissolve the pregnancy. I've since read that if HCG levels are above 10,000 found in an ectopic pregnancy the treatment should be treated by having surgery. I go back in 4 days to have my HCG levels checked again. What are my chances of this methotrexate injection working and me not experiencing a rupture?
