Hi there! I didn't register for diapers, but one of my best friends believes that what mothers need the most are diapers! So she came with a huge box of them plus 3 packs of wipes! :) I was sure happy, as it is one of the biggest expenses! However, I wouldn't stock up on them, the baby might be alergic to a certain brand or a certain brand might not fit too well on the baby (if it is too small, or bigger). So if you get some, great, if you don't, don't buy too many, you never know which one will work the best! As far as being tacky, I don't think it is, but I don't see many people buying it for you as they will rather get the cutsy things!
