: Just when everything was going along swimmingly, my angel learned to stand on her own. I've heard of this causing trouble with sleeping and it appears that's what is happening. After three really good nights of sleep, we woke to Hannah crying/whining at about 3am. My wife went in to check on her and the little one was standing in her crib holding onto the bars. She's been pulling herself up for a couple of weeks and is becoming an expert. That's pretty much all she wants to do, though, and now it's manifesting itself at night. My wife picked her up, comforted her, and put her down. Within 5 minutes she was standing up again and whining. This went on for more than an hour. I understand this isn't unusual. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this? We can tell from the tone of her cry if/when she falls. Should we just let her stand there and hope at some point she sits down? She's sure as heck not going to put herself to sleep while she's standing up.

I 2 went thru the same thing with my youngest, I just went in and sat her back down. She had fallen backwards 2 many times and hit her head. Her health was more important then my sleep. It past and we are now on to other bad sleeping habits.LOL!!! she is not much of a sleeper but I believe that they go thru stages, I have 3 girls and I don't think I will ever stop trying to figure out some new dilemma.LOL!! they are 8 , 5 , and 10 months. everyday there is something new, you'll get thru it.bye for now!!
