: my 6yr old is so busy drawing and playing, never asks for food or drink. I wait but finally I have to forcefeed her. I hate this, but she's now going below normal wt. level. I started counting 1 to 10 to finish milk, it worked and was fun before but now again the milk won't finish till I get angry. Pls. advise how to not forcefeed but make coming to table easier and eating interesting. Any advise on best appealing healthy breakfast/dinners? Thanks!

How about challenges? Like, if you eat all your rice for a week, I will get you a new set of pencils? Then just buy cheap stuff when she eats it all. My younger sister went through a phase like that and my mother was so upset. Fortunately, it wore off and she started eating again. But my mother used challenges sometimes during the week and it worked! Use what she likes "against" her to help her eat.
