: I read that the bow legged thing is an old wives tale however, I would never force a baby to stand if they aren't ready. If your baby is standing while assisted then it shows they are strong enough in the leg to do this. I have been doing it with my 5 1/2 month old son for ages now. Where we are having the problem is with his tummy time! He hates it and now he is even beginning to hate lying on his back kicking. He wants to sit or cuddle with mummy!! lol

I just said I heard a story, I did not say it was true, she was a heavy baby and walked real early and showed no signs of being bow-leg before. So I thought I would pass it on(just in case) I did not tell her to rush out and buy special braces or anything. It seems I never say anything right on this board everyone always puts down what I say.i'm just trying to help.thanks for listening to me vent. I'm just feeling like noone is liking my advice, I suggest things and someone always comes in behind and says "oh no, dont do that, this is what I did with my baby"We are all here to give advice and the one they choose to try is up to them.(unless it's REAL bad advice)(life threating or something)I have 3 kids and would love to help someone .I think everyone is different and need to try different things, what works for you may not for me. and what you hear may not be what I hear.I'm sorry I sound so upset, I just feel left out in a way.Sorry Lisa, it's not you. but I am going to post this anyway or I'll still be grumpy.
