Yes, your baby is normal. All kids go through a faze where they have to learn to bend when they fall and to be careful with their noggins. Both my kids, 7 yrs and 3 yrs, spent about 3 mths covered in bruises and bumps. If she keeps hitting her head on the same thing, try, every time you see her near it say something like " be careful" and help her around it. It does work though, every time my kids were around the thing that they always got hurt on, I would say watch out! and they learned to be careful. But, I don't think any learning to walk kid got through with out a few, if not a lot, bruise and bumps.

: My daughter is 6 1/2 months old. She has always been very mellow, but suddenly she is super active, and seems unstoppable. She has mastered crawling and sitting, and now is on to pulling up. She tries to pull up on everything. My trouble is this: she keeps hitting her head. She seems to have no concept of the location of her head, and I'm afraid she's going to injure herself. I constantly watch her, but she still hits her head. For example, today I thought she was taking a nap in her crib when suddenly I heard her screaming, and I found her lying down...apparently she pulled up on the crib and fell backwards. Is it normal for her to be so fearless? Any suggestions?
