: Kim, I've had problems with my sciatic nerve for about 15 years now. When I was pg, it did bother me quite a bit. I saw a massage therapist for it (a good, sports massage person). If you can get your Dr to refer you to a physical therapist, they often have massage therapists on staff (or do massage themselves) and your insurance will most probably cover it. I would really push for this! Your health and wellbeing are so important to your whole family. I can empathize about how much pain you are in.

: Short of seeing someone for this problem, there are a few stretching and yoga exercises that helped a little. Check out a good pregnancy yoga book. Most important to note - exercise makes it worse. Rest and gentle stretching are the best things. A heating pad set on a low setting also helps.

: Congratulations on your pregnancy, and best of luck to you!

: Marybeth

Thanks, I will. I did notice that any kind of activity I do with my kids or even clean the house sets it off.
