Hi Elizabeth,

Mine are also 1 1/2 and 3. May and November babies...girl and boy....kinda cool our kids are that similar. We'll have to share war stories!! My daughter loves my son so much...she's always hugging and kissing him (even when he doesn't want it), and when he cries she takes his hand and says "come here, come here" and brings him to me. Its just to cute, makes a mommy proud.

Take care, looking forward to getting to know you.

: : I just found out that I am 12 weeks pregnant and I have a 8 month old little one. Does any ont else have babies close in age(they will be 14.5 mo apart)and any advice would be appreciated.

: I agree with Debbie. I have 2 girls that are both 18 months apart (1-1/2 and 3). They are the best of friends. My 3-year-old tells my younger baby every day, "Sister, you are my best friend, I love you much and we are going to be together forever, I will always love you" and they always hug and kiss eachothers cheeks.

: It will be difficult at the beginning though at least it was for me but it will be more worth it of course in the longrun. When my youngest was a newborn my older daughter was very jealous no matter how much we got her involved with the baby and no matter how much more attention we gave the oldest. She would actually hit her in front of our face. One day it got so bad while I was cooking. I had the baby on the kitchen table, my daughter grabbed those metal things for the mixer and as I tried to grab them away from her, she was just too quick and hit her on the head very hard, bad enough to cause pinpoint dots of blood on her head. My baby was okay but this time things just went to far. I felt I had to stop this or one day she would kill her. I gave her one hard smack on her hand and she never did it again. They also share a room even though there are extra rooms in the house but I thought they would bond more sharing a room. They are the best of friends and hopefully it stays that way. I am sure it will because when they are close in age they like the same things. I have a sister who is 4 years older and a brother who is just 1-1/2 years older. I got along great with my brother because of the age difference.

: Hope this helps, and congratulations on your pregnancy.

: So don't worry, everything will be okay as long you give your older one extra attention, get as you don't let the older one be mean to the baby.
