: Well she did it again! Hannah drank a little bit of a weak formula bottle (about 2-3 oz.), started to fall asleep, was put in her crib awake, and went down for an hour and 45 minute nap all by herself! Tomorrow will be the big test of a couple of things. First, will she do the same thing for my MIL, and second will my MIL do it right?!?
: If she does, we're going to stick with this plan for a bit longer (maybe a week or two) and then start weakening the bottle more.
: Stay tuned, and thanks for the encouragement! It's great that we're finally heading in the right direction with this!
You did it!!! I'm so happy for both of you. Now, let's make sure we keep reminding MIL to do it right.
Also, you mention that if this works you may stick with this plan a little longer. I was thinking that if this does in fact keep working, what if you start giving her some sips of milk in the morning. If she tolerates it, then try giving her a little bit of milk in her bottle right before her nap instead of the 2 to 3 ounces of formula. Milk is known to make babies sleepy and help them sleep longer. Anyway, she is 13 months old right? I know you don't want to try many things at once but it may help.
Well, I wish you and your wife the best of luck for tomorrow and keep updating.
