: Yeah, I've done lots of researcho n rear faceing, and been to 3 carseat clinics. He needs to be rear facing for 1 yr AND 22 lbs. Has to be both, doesnt matter if one comes before the other. He is 22.8lbs, and as I said, his b-day is coming up. So he will be 1 yr and 22 lbs. Do you have a lot of problems with the straps twisting?? We do. I also read or heard somewhere, that you can take the base out, and just have the big carseat rear facing. Did you hear of that?
Sorry about the delayed response. My son had his 6 month shots today :( I'm glad you mentioned that it was both the weight and the age, I didn't know that. The directions are maddening. There's too much on the page and poorly laid out in general. It looks as if they have a picture of the forward facing without the base but they don't make much mention of it. We watched the video too, I was under the impression that the base came off when it became a booster, and they show you how to remove it but it's fuzzy about when to take it off. The straps twist a lot, every few weeks I'll straighten them out. It's a bit too high too. I can't see very well out of the back of the car, and I can't get the elmo mirror situated. It was a gift, I'll make the most of it.
