: I have a question... before I go running to the dr as usual I need insight. My son who is 10.5 mos is being EXTREMELY difficult suddenly. He is normally a VERY needy child he whines and cries a lot. But the last few days has been ridiculous. He wakes and an hour later seems exhausted he will then sleep over two hours. Once awake he is moody and still seems tired and will go back to bed around two hours later. He does not seem to want his formula as much. And does not have as much interest in eating. He is waking several times at night (as usual)... but he doesn't want his bottle he just cries. When we go out he is awful and cries and screams... when at home he doesn't want to be held but doesn't want to be put down. He doesnt seem to be teething as he has one tooth that has been coming in for over a month now and just wont. Any ideas out there???? Thanks in advance!

I think Elizabeth is right about the teething. Your baby sounds like mine when he was not well. Another possibility is that you say that he wakes up many times at night. Maybe he is not getting enough sleep and is irritable because of that.
