: : My DS was diagnoised on Mon with Impetigo. Dr. said we caught in time before it spread too far. Its all around his nose, and now is spreading around his mouth. I think by his soother, its all around his lips, Im worried its gonna go in his mouth, but if we take the soother away he crys.

: : Now he wont eat, & takes VERY LITTLE bottle. Has thrown up twice today. (My DH was shocked how far it shoots!) What do I do. Dr. said to just give it time. Im trying the pedialyte and freezes. One minute he seems to be fine, the next he's all cuddly & throwing up. He wakes at night, and just stirs around, not interested in food at all (very very unusual for him) This is the 1st time he's been sick (11mth old) Any suggestions. I feel so helpless. How do I get thro this??

: : Tylenol is given every 4 hrs, but he just keeps throwing it up.? what good does that do? Im trying to keep soother away, to stop spread, but he just crys. Any suggestions. PLEASE HELP!

: TIna,

: I am so sorry to hear your baby is sick. Did the doctor prescribe any antibiotcs to prevent infection? He should have prescribed a topical antibiotic or by mouth. Also, I would give him Advil instead of the Tylenol. Advil works better than Tylenol and can last up to 8 hours. Make sure that you bathe him often also to prevent spreading. Other than that, there is not much you can do but to give him extra attention and cuddle with him, etc., so he at least feels a little better.

: I hope he gets well soon.

u can also try a quater teaspoon of mylanta....my son is the same age the doc mentioned it when he had tat awful throw up virus that wet around the country...motrin and advil are more ruff on the belly...why dou think docs says eat frist or have mil dont takei on an empty belly....tyl suppositoris work fast and u cant throw them up...good luck hun
