: My little one is almost 8 months old. He doesn't sit yet, he is not crawling, no teeth yet, and he is not sleeping through the night. He however, rolls all over the house in a flash. He was making attempts to crawl, but he's stopped them now. When I make him sit, propped up with cushions, he gets hopping mad. He is in stark contrast to my daughter who crawled, sat and even attempted to stand all between 6-7 months. Do you think I have a lazy little guy on my hands?

He'll do things when he's ready. He's not lazy he's taking his time!! Try not to compare the two. My SIL has a baby girl, Lauren, she's 3 weeks younger than Charlie. He has done every thing super fast and Lauren is taking her time. My SIL has been in a panic that something is wrong with her because she's always comparing the two babies. I keep telling her to stop doing that. Lauren is doing all of the same things as Charlie, just a little later. Which is totally normal. The two babies are so different in nature, in size, growth rate, and I think it makes a big difference that they are boy/girl. Charlie is strong and very rough, she's very gentle and subdued. Don't worry he'll be sitting up, he'll be crawling, he might even skip crawling and just walk, and get his teeth before you know it. And as far as the sleep problems, we did CIO and it has been the best thing we ever did for all of us. At Arden's age he should be able to sleep all night without eating, he may be waking up out of habit.
