My daughter only has signs of fussiness when teething. If she has any other I consider it to be something else, not teething. Symptoms of teething are very controversial. Many parents say that runny nose, fever, diarrhea, and vomiting are symptoms, however from doctors, and journals I have read, those symptoms are most likely a cold or virus. There is no antibiotic for viruses though, except to keep them hydrated.
What I consider teething is excess drooling, which may cause a cough and face rash, fussiness, gnawing, sleeplessness, etc. Teething can be quick or it can last for a long, long time.
