: I am not sure how much he told her but she is drinking about 8 ounces or so a day at different times of the day. She didn't drink before.

: : : Thank you Angela. I don't think she should be mixing alcohol with pills either or drinking every day while pregnant. I hope she will finally get another opinion. She is really dependant on the things he tells her and of course since he is her doctor that is normal. I am worried about FAS though as well as her health and how this may hurt the baby in other ways.

: :
: : : : I know my doctor said that a glass of wine every once in a while, like once a week, wouldn't hurt you during pregnancy. However, I wasn't on any medication either. I chose not to drink at all because it just didn't feel like the right thing to do while pregnant.

: : : : I don't really know much about medications such as antidepressants, but I didn't think you were supposed to consume alcohol while taking them. If I were your cousin I would seek a second opinion and see what another doctor says.

: : my doc sai 4 ounces of the lightest wine....once a day and only if it gets bad....how much is he tellingher to drink....

: : ps i had to do this with all my kids plus mag plus brethine plus iv plus demeral at times...it does slow labor by the way(demerol)...plus tons of water...plus strong pain killers to keep me from tensing more from the extreme pain

: : with the wine though it was never more then 4 ounce of the lightest wine and only if the rest didnt work...last resort

: : so how much did he tell her??

then that way way to much and that much just wont pass her placenta like mine did that will stay and go through it....its no mre then 4 ounces a day when it only needed.....yeah sheneeds to see someone else....or u need to talk to her doctor or ur and find out what u can do...she is harming the baby
