: : Hi ladys!! I am not a mom YET, but I am pregnant. I thought this would be the place to post this question since most of you guys have already given birth. I just wanted to know, does an epidural hurt really bad? I know I want one, but I think I am dreading it more than chilbirth itself!! Any responses would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

: Hi!
: Congratulations on your pregnancy!! Epidurals do not really hurt at all, just a little pin prick, and believe me you will be concentrating on the pain of your contractions as they get stronger and last longer, you won't even notice the prick of the epidural going in.....just relax.
: Unfortunately, my first epidural did not work, only half of my body was frozen so I could feel my contraction only on one side so they had to do the epidural over.
: Don't worry, I'm sure your experience will be better than mine.
: Goodluck!! How far along are you?

I am 26 weeks, start my 27th on tuesday(also the begining of 7th month-WOW!) I am kinda getting nervous as the time nears. Thank you so much for the reassurance.
