: : How do I know whether to call the doctor when my 10-month-old bumps her head? she's learning to walk and falls alot, but I'm never sure what's serious and what's not.thanks.

: My son is just starting to crawl and hits his head on everything. Most of the time it doesn't even phase him unless he's tired, then he makes a big fuss. I think kids are built to withstand the bumps and falls related to learning to get around. I'd say if she hits her head extremely hard and it really seems to bother her call the doctor to be sure. Otherwise, bumping their niggins is just part of growing up.

Oops, I meant to say bumping their noggins.
