: How do I know if its gas that is upsetting my 2week old??

Hi Shanna, Some indications of gas would be the baby tightening up his/her body. When your baby starts crying does he/she draw the legs in and then thrust them out and tight? That is an indication...also when your baby is fussy, feel the belly...If it is bloated out and tight, that is another indication of gassyness.

Try putting him/her across your lap on the belly and patting the butt. This helps relieve some of the gas...or ball the baby up with knees up to the chest and kind of cradle the baby on his/her side in your arms and pat the butt.

These are little things I would do to help my babies through gassy times...

You really just have to find what works best for relief for your little one. Also check into the gas drops. There are a couple of different brands. I used little tummy's for my daughter. They worked pretty good.

Best of luck...
