: Hi Gemma, read your post below. Please see a doctor immediatly! About 5 years ago my left nipple was bleeding when I squeezed it. My doctor sent me to have a mammogram immediatly, in Canada there are quite long waiting lists to have these done and she had me go in that same day. Nothing showed on the mammogram so I had to have a galactogram (sp) this ended up showing 8 tiny lumps in my milk ducts. I had them taken out and biopsied and thank the lord above they were benign, however, the specialist I saw who deals with all sorts of problems with the breast including cancers, said that in some cases they can be the early stages of cancers and in a handful they turn out to be nothing. Blood coming from the nipple is very serious and should be looked into immediatly. I really don't mean to scare you but I want to stress that it is very very important for you to see a doctor right away.
: Good luck to you, and please keep us posted.

Gemma, Please take Lisa's advice. Bleeding of the nipple is very serious. There was a case of a young girl on the pregnancy side of this board over a year ago that posted with the same thing...It turned out she had cancer.
Please understand I'm not trying to scare you by all means, I just want you to be cautious and aware. You really should see your dct. asap. Just to be on the safe side at least.
Best of luck...and please keep us posted.
