: : Yesterday Charlie was sleeping at his grandma's. She puts him on her bed and surrounds him with pillows. I have never been happy about this arrangement and one several occasions have asked her to use the play pen, but she doesn't. When I went to get him yesterday he was sleeping and then I heard a thunk and him screaming. He fell out of the bed. He seemed to hit his head pretty hard. I called the doctor and they said to keep an eye on him. He seems ok but he was very cranky had a lot of trouble sleeping last night, he was restless and up a lot. Could he have had trouble sleeping because he hit his head? How can I tell if he has a mild concussion? I am really worried about him.

: OMG - Sue, is this your mother-en-law? That I would defenately put my foot down about.

: I am glad to hear there was no serious injury's. Poor little guy.

: I had a mild concussion once, it was not fun, by all means.

: I hope little Charlie gets better....Give him tylenol at night before bed to help him through with any pain.

Yup, good ole' Mother-in-law. I know that she feels terrible but she should have known better. My sister-in-law just told me that she has even tried to get her to use the play pen with her kids and she just refuses. I felt terrible that he was so upset. Luckily, I'll be a work at home Mom as of Monday so she won't watch him anymore. So that should alleviate my trouble with her.

Hey I went up to your neck of the woods last weekend. I didn't know that they finsihed rearranging Jumpers Hole Road so when I left the baby store I got disoriented and came out in Severna Park on Benfield. I never made it to Arundel Mills. I'll have to do that another time. It was a long day just getting up there and Charlie was getting antsy in his car seat and fussed and moaned the entire way home. It will give me a reason to come back up. It made me homesick to tread on some of my old turf.
Later, Sue
