: My almost 10 month old son still has no teeth. My daughter got teeth when she was 8 and a half months old. I am not comparing, but I would like to know when everyone's babies got their first tooth.

Hi Marie,

Both of my girls had all their teeth by 1 year, but have seen many kids that are 2 years old and only have 1 or 2 teeth. Sometimes it is hereditary and sometimes if they chew a lot whether it is hard foods or hard chew toy stimulates their gums and causes teeth to come out sooner. I know someone that fed their baby baby food even after a year old and nothing else and did not get teeth until a little after 2 years. I tend to think it was because the gums were not being stimulated enough with that soft baby jar food. Let us know when his teeth come in. I think it is so cute when they smile and their new teeth are showing. It would be nice to take a picture.
