: : Do any of your babies watch the Baby Einstein videos? I have a couple, DH wants to get our son the WHOLE collection. I don't think that is necessary. There is enough TV in kids' lives these days.
: Hello Marie,
: I was wondering where you were. I wished my babies would have like the Einstein videos but they didn't and had to give them all away. If I would have known, I would have mailed the collection to you. I was also strict about them watching too much TV but it was just too difficult. They would both scream all the time even if I tried to distract them with toys or an outing, etc. They still wanted to come home and watch TV. They love to watch Sesame street, Dora the Explorer, Blue's Clues, Cailou, etc. Right now, they are into Care Bears. I don't let them watch Rugrats. I feel they have gotten a little education out of these, but I also spend a lot of time with my children reading to them, tracing numbers, etc. My 3-year-old already knows how to add small numbers.
I'm here - on and off - whenever I get time. It is amazing that your 3 year old can add. Most kids barely know numbers at that age. Keep up the good work. I too believe in physical activities, reading or going out to watching TV. My daughter was a TV lover as a toddler and I really had a very difficult time breaking the habit. Even now she will easily watch way too much TV if I let her, but we have very strict TV times at our house.
