My son is the same way, he's one now and it's worn off a bit but he can be dangerous. I now have a cornial scratch thanks to this wacking, hitting, scratching etc. Unfirtunately I don't have any solutions because even though I try to say no he still does it. I try to take his hand and say "nice" while gently touching our faces or what ever. So far it hasn't been entirely successfull.
: : My nine month old little girl flails her arms and hits everything in sight, especially me, when she gets very happy or excited. I am batteling with what to do about this behavior, I would hate to punnish her for being happy but at the same time I'm going to end up black and blue, she also loves to touch my face affectionatley, but then follows it with a nice wack. Anyone else have this problem??
: My son also does this when he gets worked up sometimes, and has also hit me in the face. I don't punish him I just try to explain to him that he shouldn't do that because it hurts Mommy and I pretend that it really hurts. When he sees the look on my face he stops. He has also bitten my husband before when he was mad and my husband told him very sternly not to do that because it hurts daddy. He hasn't done it since.
