: :Our daughter had been vomiting and diarrhea since she was a newborn. We tried everything that was recomended by the pediatrician. Her stomache was always bloated and painful to touch. We tried medication after medication. This went on for months. I kept telling them that I know there is more. Finally she got so bad that she was hospitalized. Very frustrating! Anyway, that is when I insisted that that they do more testing. After many procedures and lab work, she was diagnosed with so many food allergies that I cannot list them all. We now go to the childrens Hospital in L.A. She has a G.I Dr., an Allergy Specialist, and a nutritionist. They are testing her for Celiac Disease. They have also done many biopsies. We are waiting for results. I guess my point is that You cannot accept what your pediatrician says if you feel there is more to it. Be persistent. Demand that testing be done. Food allergies are very common these days in babies and toddlers. Do your own resup Hi everyone. If this gets lengthy I'm sorry. I am just wondering if anyone has had the problems I'm having and if so, what they did. My daughter is just a hair under 6 months old and has at maximum gained 5 pounds since birth. She either vomits or has diarrhea most of the time. She seems to run in cycles of a week of projectile vomiting, a week of diarrhea and then a week of normalcy. She also has never had a weight over 12 lbs 2 oz, she flexuates but always seems to top out there. She goes through spurts of always being hungry to days where I almost have to force 8 oz in her. She also is sleeping at least 19 hours a day and is not peeing very much, and she seems to be in pain during her episodes. The local doctors have written her off to Acid Reflux, but the GI specialist I took her to seems to think its more. She's been tested for acid reflux and pyloric stenosis, both coming back negetive, and we've tried all formulas, foods and medicines with nothing working. What the ultrasounds have shown is that food is not leaving her stomach. No one, including the GI doctor seems to know why. I am just curious if anyone else has experienced this and what the result was. At this point I am scared my daughter will have severely stunted growth at best or will waste away to nothing at worst. If anyone has any words of advise please let me know. Anything would be appreciated. Thanks.
