Yes, I feel so much more comfortable with life after we did the permenant g-tube for my oldest. The surgery was not fun- but the end result is awesome- I highly recommend it. But, I'm not sure what your daughter's prognosis is, so I don't know if you could convince your doctors that this is necessary.

Has your daughter been ng fed since birth? Does she eat anything by mouth? Are there any other health concerns?

I never ng tube fed my son. He was born with urinary/kidney problems. He was 19 lbs at 2 yrs old when we started intensive feeding therapy. At 2 1/2 he still wasn't gaining, so we did the g-tube. Now at 4 1/2 he is 35 1/4 pounds!!!!

I'll chat more but I need to help my son build lincoln logs. He is getting frustrated :0)
