: : Since my daughter turned 7 mos she has a very select palate and will only drink her formula- and now shes older will eat toast, cheerios, and watermelon. on occasions few and far between she will eat cheese and some other foods but only a few bites and it has to be finger food she can pick up and feed herself but nothing even close to a meal. She will however eat her pablum in a.m and p.m just before bed but thats it. Does anyone have any advice or has been through this i feel like i'm doing something wrongbut i have tried everything. Most of the time i can't even get the food close to her mouth to try.

: Let her feed her self, she is almost one let her go for it its not going to hurt. She should be eating table food now you just got to indurduce it to her.

Make it fun and interesting, not something she may think you are forcing her. Leave healthy finger snacks around the house as well as she goes about the day and snacking she will get the nutrients she will need.
Thats what i had to do with my son for the same reason he was like this till past 2 years. He now healthy and has a healthy appitite. My tricks was use the gerber snacks as there cereal and fruits in shape of cookies. (smart mom) leave watermelon out, and some choice veggies small cut some new things to. As my son went through the day he snacked on these things giving him the nutrients he needed, then adding milk after or between. Not as much as i wanted him hungry to snack. He grew into likeing these foods, he thought he was sneaking them from me too wich made it more exciting for him. Anyway he on a regualar diet now and did however grow out of it just as his doctor said. Give it a try, introducing something new each week. See what happens. Keep us updated. Luck! Oh yea, the clean up at night a bit of a pain but well worth it.
