: She seemed to get worse today, so Mrs. Steve and I took her BACK to the pediatrician. Now she has a double ear infection. So, in addition to the daily doses of Benadryl and Motrin, she's taking antibiotics and this stuff that numbs her ears.
: Oh what fun. If you need me, I'll be plotting how to kill my neighbors.
That's terrible. I feel so bad for her. I hope they didn't give her a 10-day course of ampicillin which tastes awful. I always tell our pediatrician to give my daughters a 5-day course of the antibiotic Zithromax which tastes great and kids don't have trouble taking it. It also kills practically everything. How is the Benadryl working? I notice that every pediatrician prescribes different medications. Here where I live most doctors prescribe ampicillin for the ear infection, Rondec for cough which is a great cough medicine, albuterol syrup for wheezing, and an over-the-counter decongestant, plus recommend a cool mist humidifier, and Advil or Motrin.
Does your neighbors kid have ear infections also or just a plain cold?
I hope she feels better and you and Mrs. Steve too. I bet both of you feel sick not getting enough sleep. When I don't sleep, I feel like I am drunk, see stars sometimes, and can't even think straight.
