: My 17-month-old Hannah is going through a spell where she's having 3-4 solid temper tantrums a day. She's been doing this for 3-4 days in a row. She was sick for about a week and a half with a cold and then double ear infection, and didn't have near this many tantrums before. So, what do you think? Is this a phase or is she spoiled rotten from being sick for so long? It's about to drive me and the pregnant and constantly nauseous Mrs. Steve crazy. Right now we're both terrified about the possibility of a new baby because we're not sure we want the one we HAVE.

We are going through the EXACT same thing. DS had bronchiolitis and double ear infections. Since then his tantrums have worsened. As he was very irritable and grouchy while sick, he had many tantrums. But he has decided to carry them out further. DS is throwing a fit over everything now. I have just learned to ignore it. He gets over them very fast, so it's not a big deal. Except in public! I thought I would lose it the other day in the store. Everyone was staring. But I know he is a child, and that is what they do. Good luck... I think what you are doing is fine.
