: I hope so too. Mrs. Steve can't handle a lot right now. She's still nauseous all the time and has been having a little (probably) hormone-induced depression. It's been pretty rough on her so far and we're probably only about a month or so into the pregnancy. :(

Poor Mrs. Steve. I take it she hasn't been to the doctor since you are saying she is probably about a month or so. If she just missed her monthy cycle, she is 5 weeks. If she missed it a week ago, she is 6 weeks, and so on, She should start feeling a lot better by 3 months and by 5 to 6 months she will be glowing and feeling great. The nausea is caused by hormones and so is depression. Also, if she is not sleeping well, that can cause depression even in a nonpregnant person.

I hope she is eating well too. I really believe she should take a little extra vitamin B6 especially if she is not on any prenatal vitamins or ask the doctor to give her a very good prenatal vitamin with lots of B vitamins and 1 mg of folic acid which is very helpful in preventing birth defects in the first 3 month.

Vitamin B6 has been proven to work for the nausea. I took it and never had any kind of nausea. It works for most people, but the nausea could also be so severe that nothing works. Depression also eats up all the B vitamins as well as vitamin C, especially stress. She should talk to her doctor and ask her about the vitamin B6 in addition to her prenatal vitamins. Has she been vomiting excessively or just nauseated? She really needs to take care of herself and get lots of rest too because the first 3 months as we all know are the most critical.

I hope she feels better.
