: : i had my baby 2 mths ago and still no period but i have cramping still. i had a c-section and tubal done.

: Hi Yvette,

: I had 2 C-sections. The cramping is due to the uterus shrinking back to normal. By 6 months, the cramping should be gone and uterus back to its normal size. Also, you may experience some clots due to the uterus still cleaning itself out, maybe some pieces of the placenta even though they take the placenta out, but shouldn't worry you unless the clots are very big and crampiong does not go away for months longer. Also, you could be up to 6 months without a period and, if breast-feeding, some women don't have a period until they stop breast-feeding. Some women who don't breast-feed, don't have a period for even up to a year.

: By your 6-month postpartum checkup, the doctor will press on your abdomen to check to see if the uterus has shrinked back to its size.

: Take care and congratulations on your new baby!

Wow 6 mths! My other 2 werent that long. I was thinking it might be the tubal and something might be wrong. I called my doc 3 weeks ago and he said if I didnt get my period by now(3 weeks) to call him back.
