That's fine, I'm not trying to cause an argument either, we both have different information on the same subject. I would never say that a drug can do NO harm, but the frequency in which it is prescribed is very high, at least on the East coast, and medical malpractice is crazy over here, and dr.'s are leaving our states. I just find it really really hard to believe that they would prescribe it if there was "true evidence" that it caused birth defects. OB's would be getting sued all over the US for prescribing that - they get sued enough for other stuff. All I'm saying is that I took it (and I already had a kid with a disability - I would have thought my ob's would have been very cautious), my sisters took it with both of their pregnancies - they each have 2 kids, one lives in Georgia, one lives in Virginia, so it is not the same ob's, and someone here posted that they also took it.
It is also my understanding (I know alot of people with kids with disability) that CP is caused during birth, and not from a drug.
Anyway, Zofran, is a Category B without question, and actually works better without the sleepy side effect that Phenergan can cause.
I'm out of it - was just trying to help.
: Phenergan can cause hemorrhaging because it affects the clotting system.
