Hi Debbie:
I'm so glad you're back. We must have had the vibes going today because I was thinking that I should direct a post to you to let you know what was up.

I haven't been posting lately partly because of the terrible things going on here, especially directed toward you, but mostly because Jacob has been sick. He had the flu that every other person seems to have. The poor baby spent his first Christmas Day in the hospital for 12 hours being hooked up to an IV. He vomited so much that he lost four pounds!

He's feeling better and was laughing and goofing around alot today which made me happy. Unfortunately for me I decided it was time to give him some jar food and gave him squash for dinner. He took his bedtime bottle, sat up and threw up squash all over himself, me and the rocking chair cushions. I just got done cleaning up. Back to just cereal tomorrow.

Anyway, I called the gastroenterologist in Chicago that he saw before and the nurse scheduled an appointment for January 2. She said not to change anything right now and to definitely not do what my pediatrician was telling me which was to start him on table foods, meat and milk. So, I'm holding off on any changes until after our visit. She said that they have had some kids on Neocate until 18 months. I hope Jacob is off of it sooner. He keeps trying to grab the food off my plate. Little Stinker!

Thanks so much for asking and for the advice and I'll let you know what we find out. Happy New Year!!
