: : MY SON IS 4 1/2 MONTHS OLD. HE STARTED SHOWING BLOOD IN HIS STOOL AT @2 MONTHS. HE WAS NEVER FUSSY OR SEEMED UNCOMFORTABLE. IT AS AT THE POINT NOW THAT HE HAS LOST SO MUCH BLOOD THAT WE ARE IN A SITUATION WHERE THERE MAY BE SOMETHING ELSE GOING ON. I WAS TOLD HE MAY HAVE SEVERE ALERGIC DESEASE.. THAT SOUNDS FUN....WE HAVE TO GO TO AN IMMUNOLOGIST THIS WEEK. I AM VERY SCARED...
: : WE WERE RECENTLY TOLD THAT WE HAD TO STOP BREAST FEEDING MY SON AND START HIM ON NEOCATE. WE HAD BEEN TREATING HIM FOR POSSSIBLE MSPI, WITH ME TAKING ALL DAIRY AND SOY OUT OF MY DIET. SEVERAL PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD WERE SO HELPFUL AND SUPPORTIVE AT THAT TIME THAT I THOUGH I SHOULD GIVE YOU ALL AN UPDATE. UNFORTUNATLY....IT DIDN'T WORK...SO WE WERE FORCED TO NEOCATE. I KNOW MANY OF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS FORMULAR. IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD KNOW? ANY HINTS, WORDS OF ADVICE OR ENCOURAGEMENT WOULD BE APPRECIATED IT. THANKS....GAIL

: I also recently started my son on neocate(he is six weeks old), but this is not my first experience with protein intolerence, my sixteen month old also has the problem(although he seems to have outgrown most of it). My newborn was very fussy and hyper especially after eating, also had problems with reflux. my son has been on the neocate now for 1 week ( he did have one bloody stool) and there seems to be some improvement in his temperment. how old is your son???
