Debbie, we have scheduled a doctor's appointment for tomorrow. This is our first baby, and we just love her and worry about everything. It's her first cold. I mean, there's no chance it's serious or could cause her to stop breathing or anything during the night is there?
: If she has a fever, you should call the dr. right away as babies that young can not regulate their temperature and need medical attention for any fever at all. You can use saline nasal drops, 2 in each nostril and then suck her nose out with a bulb syringe....also, a cool mist humidifier in her room to help her breathe and if she sounds really bad or croupy you can run the shower HOT in the bathroom with the door closed so it gets really steamy and take her in there and sit with her for about 20 minutes at a time. Hope this help and she gets better SOON!!
: : What is the best way to treat a baby with a bad cold and coughing up flem...? I don't want my precious four-week old to choke at night, and want her to be comfortable.
